Targeted Broadcast Based On Country and Platform

Enables channel owners to selectively target their broadcast message. Here’s how you do it:

  1. CMC portal → Select channel → Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Select targeted audience and criteria for country and platform
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button


Targeted Broadcast - File Upload

Enables channel owners to send broadcast to custom list of channel subscribers. Here’s how you do it:

  1. CMC portal → Select channel → Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Upload CSV file containing RegIDs
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button


Targeted Broadcast - Image Cropping

Enables partners to crop images into landscape for broadcast message. Includes features such as rotating the image, stretching the image, stretching the cropping area and resetting. Here’s how you do it:

  1. CMC portal → Select channel → Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Select image and user can increase the size of the area selected. Click crop once finish (Image crop area ratio: 270x133px).
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button




Rich Media Post to Timeline

Enables partners to post image, image title, image description and url to current user’s timeline via server API. Approved partners who are integrated into BBM can enjoy the feature via the enhanced API.


Partner Webview Navigation Improvements

Improvements feature with the following updates:

  • Close button moved to the right
  • Navigation bar is now white
  • Loading bar has now been removed

Here’s how you do it:

  1. On Discover tab, check out any service (excluding Channel, Stickers, Subscription)
  2. Open the bbmi:// link to a service from chat or feeds


CMC Targeted Broadcast: OS and Client Version

Broadcast to users on selected BBM client and OS versions. Here’s how you do it:

  1. CMC Portal → Channel → Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details
  3. Choose OS and Client Versions to target
  4. Click “Preview” button and then “broadcast” button


Video Broadcast from Chatbot (Live and/or Not Live)

With this feature you can broadcast videos from chatbot (CMC). Applicable for Vidio.com videos only. Here’s how you do it:

  1. User must first subscribe to the Channel
  2. CMC Portal → Channel → Chatbot tab → Video notification
  3. Type url/link of Vidio.com video
  4. Click Fetch → Preview → Broadcast to see details of the URL
  5. A preview will appear and then click Send to channel subscribers
  6. For users who have already subscribed to the Channel, click the play button while receiving a broadcast video from Chatbot.




Confirmation Before Submitting Chatbot Broadcast

This feature shows confirmation message before partner submits broadcast, summarizing targeting criteria and the numbers of users that will receive the broadcast message. The message will only be shown if the number of subscribers is greater than the current threshold set at 1 million. Threshold is configurable. Here’s how you do it:

  1. CMC Portal → Channel → Chatbot tab
  2. Fill out broadcast details
  3. Click Preview → Broadcast
  4. Confirmation message will appear if broadcast message is sent to more than 1 million subscibers
  5. Click OK to submit broadcast or Cancel to review the criteria
