Targeted broadcast based on country and platform

Enables channel owners to selectively target their broadcast message. Country targeting could be use for local contents such as holiday season, religious occasion, etc.

Here’s how you do it : 

  1. CMC portal a Select channel a Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Select targeted audience and criteria for country and platform
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button


Targeted broadcast – File upload

Enables channel owners to send broadcast to custom list of channel subscribers. Best use when partner is unable to create a target list using the targeted audience filter.

Here’s how you do it :

  1. CMC portal a Select channel a Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Upload CSV file containing RegIDs
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button


Targeted broadcast – Image cropping

Enables partners to crop images into landscape for broadcast message. Includes features such as rotating the image, stretching the image, stretching the cropping area and resetting. Here’s how you do it :

  1. CMC portal a Select channel a Chatbot tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details: Title, message, label, url and image
  3. Select image and user can increase the size of the area selected. Click crop once finish
  4. Click preview button and once finish, click the broadcast button

Note : Image crop area ratio: 270x133px


Rich Media post to Timeline

Enables partners to post image, image title, image description and url to current user’s timeline via server API. Partners and awareness are able to post richer content, potentially driving engagement


CMC targeted broadcast: OS and client release version

Broadcast to users on selected BBM client and OS versions. Here’s how you do it :

  1. From CMC Portal click ‘Channel’ then ‘Chatbot’ tab
  2. Fill in broadcast details
  3. Choose OS and Client Versions to target
  4. Click “Preview” button and then “broadcast” button


Video broadcast from chatbot (Live and Video non Live)

Specifically for video.com Videos, user can see video template for video broadcasts by chatbot from CMC. Additional content for channel owner to share; Send video broadcast to subscribers that will play in BBM’s native video player. Here’s how you do it :

  1. User must first subscribe to the Channel.
  2. Log into CMC. Chat Bot → Video notification.
  3. Type url/link of vidio.com Video (Live or Video non Live).
  4. Click Fetch → Preview → Broadcast  to see details of the URL.
  5. A preview will appear and then click Send to channel subscribers.
  6. On device, navigate to chatbot chat that has received the Vidio.com video.
  7. Click Play button to watch the video.


Confirmation before submitting chatbot broadcast

Shows confirmation message before partner submits broadcast, summarizing targeting criteria and the numbers of users that will receive the broadcast message.

Message will only be shown if the number of subscribers is greater than the current threshold set at 1M. Here’s how you do it :

  1. Log into CMC. Channels → Chat bot
  2. Fill out broadcast details
  3. Click Preview → Broadcast
  4. Confirmation message will appear if broadcast message is sent to more than 1 million subscribers
  5.  Click ‘OK’ to submit broadcast or Cancel to review the criteria
